A small display on the architectural theme of Open Days 2025, features a wide variety of building styles across the county of Kent, drawing on photographs, paintings and plans held in Kent Archives.
The display celebrates the work of female architect Mary Townley at Townley House in Ramsgate, alongside some iconic and notable buildings: the Dreamland cinema in Margate, the evolution of old Scotney Castle, Oldbury Hillfort, Ightam, the Martello Tower in Dymchurch, a stained glass window at St Mary’s Church, Riverhead, the Lecture Hall at Swanley Horticultural College and Kent oast houses.
