About

Update: As of 4 July, the children's play area has re-opened.
At busy times, the council is asking that children’s time on play equipment be limited to 20 minutes to allow other families to enjoy the facilities too. Therefore, if the play area is busy, parents are being asked to come back later. There will be no food or drink allowed inside the play areas and families are being asked to use hand sanitiser or wash their hands before and after play to help keep the play areas clean for others.

Whatman Park lies at the heart of Maidstone River Park just half a mile from the town centre. This 18 acre site combines a natural landscape of woodland and wildflower meadow with adventure play areas, a treetop walk, skatepark and riverstage open-air performance arena, offering a retreat with countless activities for all the family. Pleasure boats can stop at Whatman Park Wharf and the Kentish Lady can make request stops.
