You are here: Creative Maidstone > Exhibit > Open Call
Application Deadline: Monday 15th September
Creative Maidstone is delighted to share this exhibition opportunity inside our Community Hub at the bottom of Gabriel's Hill, in the heart of the historic market town of Maidstone, Kent, UK. We are looking for artwork of any medium to exhibit within our space.
This year for Black History Month, we are curating an exhibition to showcase the creative voices of Black artists, whether it’s photography, illustration, zines, poetry or film — we’d love to hear from you.
You drop off and collect artworks in Maidstone in person. Our venue is situated within a pedestrian zone which is locked between 10:30am and 5:30pm, however as we are in the town centre, ample parking is available nearby.
Creative Maidstone will invigilate the exhibition, take care of all artworks and sell artworks on behalf of the artists for a 15% commission rate. We do not charge any other costs to artists other than the sales commission. Please let us know if you would also be interested in helping invigilate at any point over the exhibition.

You will be informed of which pieces have been accepted if you are selected to exhibit. If artworks are sold at the exhibition, the artist may be contacted to replace them with more artworks.
