Creative Maidstone is a Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) initiative, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, to provide a permanent space in the town centre for creatives, and to increase public access to the arts.

Creative Maidstone is located at the bottom of Gabriel’s Hill, near the entrance to The Mall.

Public Transport

Via Bus: 

Creative Maidstone is only a short walk from the Maidstone Bus Station, taking approximately five minutes.

Via Train: 

Creative Maidstone is situated in between Maidstone East and Maidstone West station, we are a slightly longer twelve minute walk.

Nearest Parking

There are many car parks in the town centre within easy reach of Creative Maidstone. The Mall car park is very close by and open 24 hours. Just park and go, then pay on return. Alternatively there are short stay pay & display car parks in Palace Avenue, College Road and King Street, plus a long stay car park at Lockmeadow, just over the Millennium Bridge.

Accessibility

Equal access is very important to us at Creative Maidstone, and we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable during their visit. Here is some helpful information for anyone who is concerned about venue access:

• We are situated at the bottom of Gabriel’s Hill. If you are unable to walk down this steep hill you can still access us via lifts situated in The Mall shopping centre. Take the lift next to Franco’s café on level 2, down to level 1 and exit via the Gabriel's Hill exit.

• A step free venue with a set of double doors

• Air Conditioning throughout the venue

• Sensory stimulation: we have fluorescent overhead lighting and general high street noises can be heard from the social space.

• A disabled toilet. We don’t currently have baby changing facilities
