Maidstone Borough Council runs a number of arts competitions throughout the year. Please see below for currently active competitions and follow the individual links for more details.

Young Artists' Award 2026  (The MMF Art Prize)
This Award is run by Maidstone Museum and is open to artists aged 25 and under, from across Kent and Sussex, to help encourage the talent and skill of our young artists.
Entries for this year are now closed.
Shortlisted entries will feature in an exhibition at Maidstone Museum in February 2026, when the winners will also be announced.

Mote Park Art Competition 2026
This annual event will be back in 2026 with a new theme to inspire more beautiful artworks based on Mote Park.
