About

Have you been thinking about walking a camino? The Royal Kentish Camino is a new pilgrimage route celebrating 3 remarkable women who helped shape the development of Christianity in Kent and England: Queen Bertha, Queen Ethelberga and Princess Eanswythe. This walk is the first of three (day 2: 13 April, day 3: 27 April). There will be time to explore the many sites of historical interest along the route. The first day includes St Martin’s Church, where Christianity was born in England, St Mary’s Church at Bishopsbourne with stained glass by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones, and many other weird and wonderful nuggets of information! We will chat about different reasons for completing a walk like this and some other famous pilgrimages.
