Night Walk Luddesdown and Cobham| Heart of Kent Walking Festival 2026

Type:Guided Walk

Sole Street Railway Station, Gravesend, Kent, DA13 0XY
Night walk

About

This night hike is a circular route from Sole Street through the Kent Downs National Landscape taking in vineyards, the hamlet of Luddesdown, isolated woodland, sections of the Wealdway and the North Downs Way, and Cobham Mausoleum.  We hear local stories including about Charles Dickens, and explore the chalk landscape.  We start in the light but the majority of the hike is in the dark, enabling us to experience the route in a very special way, listening for wildlife & looking for the moon & stars.
