About

Join us from 14th to 22nd February 2026, as Leeds Castle opens its doors to families for an enchanting exploration of the Medieval court! This exciting event, included with your admission ticket, invites you to dive into the fascinating world of a Royal ball.

Prepare for a captivating experience, where families will embark on a journey to learn the essential skills and processes that defined Royal existence in Medieval times. Guided by the charming Lord Hugo, Groom of the Stool to King Edward I (yes, he did assist the King with his… stools), and the lovely Lady Mary, Queen Eleanor of Castile's chief Lady in Waiting, as visitors will engage in a series of enriching activities.

Children will embark on a delightful journey where they will:

✨ Meet Lord Hugo and Lady Mary in person.
️ Learn to walk with the poise of true royalty.
Choose their very own royal persona to shine bright at the ball.
Master Medieval mealtimes.
Dance with elegance, learning the art of courtly moves and key royal etiquette.
Discover the array of characters that make up the royal court, from Peasants to noble Knights and everything in between!

As the event concludes, families will enjoy a special photo opportunity to capture their Royal adventure and have the chance to sign the coveted guestbook. Don your finest attire and prepare for a week of joyous adventure at Leeds Castle. This event is included in admission tickets.
