Following each Heart of Kent Walking Festival, we invite participants to share their feedback. Their comments help us understand what people enjoyed most, how they experienced the festival, and where we can make improvements for future events.
Feedback is also a wonderful way to recognise and celebrate the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteer walk leaders, whose hard work helps make the festival such a success.
The comments below represent just a small selection of the positive feedback we received following the Walking Festival in March 2025.
'Loved the walk I went on and interested in all future walks'
'This was my first linear walk and the combination of walking and train ride was delightful experience. I like to experience a variety of walks and difficulties but 10 miles is probably my maximum length. There were 12 of us today including Jane and it was a perfect number for engaging with each other and to be able to respond to Jane’s knowledge of the natural world'.
'I do not drive and therefore really appreciate being able to travel by public transport to join walks'
'I like that the festival offers a wide range of distances & caters to different interests'
'I like to see new areas and off road as much as possible'
'Really enjoyed the pilgrimages for historical content'.
'Loved the history lessons along the way, would attend a longer route with a faster pace, but still enjoyed the slower one'
It was very enjoyable and informative
'I thought the leader and all the helpers were very friendly and knowledgeable. A lovely atmosphere'
