Below is some great information for the times when you are not walking.
Maidstone is the hub of a great train network which is specifically helpful to walkers. Not only can it get you fairly easily to a number of our walk starts and finishes. Even if you visit out of festival time it offers excellent one way walks. You can walk out along the North Downs and catch the train back or alternatively you walk along the River Medway and catch the train back. The main Tonbridge line rail line also stops in Marden, Staplehurst and Headcorn.
For those without a car, or who prefer to leave them at home this is the perfect destination!
Here you will find our local event listings as there might well be something you would not want to miss. Maidstone is the events capital of Kent and so there are always great things going on.
If you are a visitor to this area there are some "must see" places you might want to spend some time, exploring, experiencing or simply sitting and enjoying.
