Join us for a fun-filled morning of nature journalling & zine-making with talented illustrator/nature doodler Zabby Allen! We'll meet at The Old Boat Cafe before heading off to explore a nature trail through Maidstone River Park.
Together we'll learn to see the heart of Maidstone differently; learning about plants, trees, birds and more. The nature walk will see us meander along the river, while Zabby shares some fun facts and nature connection prompts. You'll have the option to capture notes, doodles and sketches as we go, or just enjoy the journey!
After our nature walk we'll settle at Drake's Pub, where we'll journal, chat, sketch, and create fun nature zines together! Whether you're a seasoned journaler or trying it for the first time, this part of the day offers a relaxed atmosphere to reflect on your experiences, share stories with fellow participants and get creative in your own style.
Bring along a notebook and any supplies you might like to use, but some materials will also be provided. Make sure you wear shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather on the day, the route may be wet and muddy in places.
