Lit Fest 2025

About

LitFest is a celebration of literature and culture in Maidstone, the ultimate destination for anyone who loves books, words and ideas.

LitFest are thrilled to announce that Olivier Award-winner Celia Imrie will be headlining this year's Maidstone LitFest, taking place from 4–11 October! Join us at The Hazlitt Theatre on 5 October as Celia Imrie and co-author Fidelis Morgan discuss their latest novel, "Meet Me at Rainbow Corner," inspired by true events from WWII.

But that's just the beginning! The lineup is packed with literary delights:

* Claire Douglas unveils her chilling thriller, "The New Neighbours"

* Freya North shares her emotionally rich new work, "The Unfinished Business of Eadie Browne"

* Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin takes us through her remarkable journey in "The Girl from Montego Bay"

Plus, enjoy poetry readings, memoir workshops, comedy, and more! There's something for every reader.
