Slow Down & Create: A Beginner's Calligraphy Workshop
Take some time out for yourself and discover the calming art of modern pointed nib calligraphy in this relaxed and welcoming one and a half hour beginner's workshop.
Whether you've always wanted to try calligraphy or are simply looking for a creative way to unwind, this workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of modern calligraphy step by step. You'll learn how to hold the pen, create beautiful letterforms and develop your own flowing style in a friendly, supportive environment.
During the session, you'll create a selection of elegant gift tags and greetings cards to take home, perfect for adding a personal touch to gifts or keeping for special occasions.
As well as learning a new skill, calligraphy offers wonderful wellbeing benefits. The slow, mindful movements encourage you to relax, switch off from the stresses of everyday life and focus on the present moment.
At the end of the workshop, you'll also receive your own beginner's calligraphy kit to take home, complete with everything you need to continue practising and enjoying this beautiful craft.
No previous experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Simply come along, relax and enjoy a creative afternoon while learning a timeless new skill.
