Inspiration

  1. The Garden of England
The Garden of England creates the perfect picture of flowers and blossom and fresh produce, which is exactly what the countryside of Kent looks like. Cherry, apple and pear orchards intermingled with strawberries and raspberries and a host of hops and field crops, dotted with woodland and pretty villages.
  2. Villages
Kent villages are unique for their weather boarding, Kent peg tiles, Kent Ragstone and flint building materials. They have a long agricultural history, where fresh produce has been key to its economy for centuries.
  3. River Medway & Medway Valley
The River Medway in Kent is a quiet backwater, with few boats, masses of wildlife and is spectacular for canoeing or cruising with your own boat, or alternatively take the Kentish Lady River Cruise.
  4. Tucked along the top bottom of the North Downs there are old and historic villages who have been welcoming visitors and pilgrims for centuries in this beautiful landscape.
The chalk ridge of the North Downs is an AONB with the North Downs National Trail, the Pilgrims Way, the Augustin Camino Trail and an outstanding collection of rare wild flowers and plants grow in the chalk soils.
  5. Group of walkers
Walking Festival in the Heart of Kent Countryside. It is an amazing landscape to explore with the hill of the North Downs and the North Downs Way National Trail, walks along the wide river valley of the River Medway and walks on Greensand ridge. Exceptional areas of AONB, waterside walks, historic town walks and orchards.
  6. Vineyards
The best of Kent's Vineyards and Wineries welcome visitors. It is not possible to visit all of these in one day, so a stay is recommended, so that you have a chance to explore some of these fantastic vineyards.
