In 2022, Her Majesty the Queen becomes the first British Monarch to have served for 70 years.
Platinum Jubilee celebrations will take place throughout the UK and the Commonwealth as part of a year-long programme of events. The nation will be celebrating the Jubilee with a four-day bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2 June 2022 to Sunday 5 June 2022.
Some of the public events include:
- The Queen's Birthday parade (Trooping the Colour)
- Platinum Jubilee pageant
- Platinum Party at the Palace
- The Cazoo Derby at Epsom Downs
- Service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral

Maidstone has some exceptional events and activities to commemorate the occasion.
Many activities are focused around the Bank Holiday Weekend but there are many more besides. Leeds Castle has a whole weekend of celebration and Proms in the Park, a popular free concert will take place on the 28th May.
