About

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Medway River Park.

A #TracksAndTrails adventure from Yalding station to Maidstone’s Lockmeadow following the river Medway. Leave the car at home for a riverside ramble connected by the railway. Enjoy a break in town before making your journey home.  

Bring water and refreshments for the trip, there are many places to stop and eat in Maidstone after the walk.

Timings: 11:15am - 3pm
Distance: 7.5 miles

The walk is suitable for ages 12+ but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.

Please ensure your footwear is suitable for uneven and muddy trail surfaces (walk is not suitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs). Bring suitable clothing for the weather and pack a waterproof and snacks.

There are no toilet facilities at Yalding. Toilets on route are at Teston Country Park and at our destination, Lockmeadow.
