The Maidstone Scout Gang Show is returning this year with a full-scale variety ,theatre production created entirely by Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and volunteer leaders from across the Maidstone area. It's fast, funny, musical, slightly chaotic in rehearsal, and absolutely electric on stage - exactly the kind of grassroots performance tradition that keeps live local theatre thriving.
Our cast of young performers (ages 8- to 68) have rehearsed for months to deliver a packed show of musical numbers, comedy sketches, dance routines and ensemble pieces. For many of the cast, this is their first experience of performing on a proper professional stage - and it's often the moment their confidence truly clicks.
Gang Show has a long heritage of nurturing performers, backstage crew, musicians and leaders - but more importantly, it gives young people a safe, supportive place to be bold, be silly, be musical, be brave and to just be themselves.
