Experience History in the Skies
Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent is proud to present the first-ever Headcorn International Airshow on 27–28 June 2026. Building on over a decade of celebrated heritage events, this new show promises a wider, more thrilling programme: from historic warbirds and classic jets to modern aerobatic teams and a festival-style ground display for all the family.
From the Battle of Britain to a Global Airshow
For years, Headcorn was known for the Battle of Britain Airshow, where Spitfires, Hurricanes, and other WWII legends brought history alive over the Kent countryside. The spirit of those shows remains at the heart of the Headcorn International Airshow—but now, the skies are open to even more spectacular displays. The 2026 programme will feature historic warbirds, cutting-edge aerobatics, and international aircraft, making it one of the most diverse flying line-ups ever seen at Headcorn.
A Venue Steeped in Aviation History
Headcorn Aerodrome, originally RAF Lashenden, played a pivotal role in WWII—from Spitfire operations with Canadian squadrons to hosting USAAF fighters. Today, that rich heritage is celebrated at the Lashenden Air Warfare Museum, while the grass airfield offers one of the UK’s most intimate and immersive airshow experiences.
What’s New in 2026
Historic warbirds like Spitfires and Hurricanes flying in formation
Thrilling civilian aerobatic performances
Classic aircraft from beyond the WWII era, including potential international entries
A revamped ground festival with exhibitors, interactive displays, and family-friendly attractions
Exclusive hospitality experiences in the Mustang Lounge
Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or looking for a spectacular day out, the 2026 Headcorn International Airshow delivers an unforgettable experience—with the roar of Merlin engines and the thrill of flight up close.
