Pastels are a drawing medium made of pure pigment combined with either oil, wax, or chalk in a stick. These awesome little sticks date back to the Renaissance period and have been in artists' toolkits ever since, even used by contemporary artists like Paula Rego.

So if you're new to drawing or just a little rusty, this is the perfect session for you!

What to expect:

*  Learn key terminology and drawing techniques using chalk and oil pastels 

* How to put these techniques into your drawing

* Finally, we will put it into practice by drawing a few objects

WHAT YOU GET

As well as your knowledge of pastels and mark-making techniques that you can continue beyond the session, you will also get to take home all of your wonderful drawings made during the session.

LEVEL:

This workshop is ideal for ages 17+ and is suited to any ability. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm!
