Discover the enchanting art of painting on silk, with artist Laura Hollis in this relaxing 2.5hour workshop.
You will first experiment and practice on a pre-stretched piece of silk, before designing and painting your own 7 inch suncatcher, then paint a ready printed design for a card, which you can frame or give to a friend. Watch the vibrant colours flow in this relaxed beginner friendly workshop.
Bring your own design for the suncatcher or use the designs provided.
Don't wear your best clothes as the paints do stain.
Refreshments provided.
About the teacher/artist
Laura graduated in 2001 with a degree in Print Media and Surface Design. During this time she became interested in silk painting, creating inticate and colourful designs. Laura has continued to develop this skill, taking on commissions, exhibing and selling her work. Laura is also a Ceramicist and teaches pottery at Aylesford Pottery while also making her own collections of ceramic work.
