Cyanotype Workshop

About

Join Christie, our lead artist at Creative Maidstone, for an introduction to the world of cyanotype printmaking, a Victorian printing process discovered by Sir John Herschel in 1842.

Cyanotype is a type of printing that uses a chemical solution that, once exposed to UV light, creates a Prussian Blue pigment. By placing objects or photo negatives over the Cyanotype solution, you can make a striking collection of prints.

WHAT YOU GET
As well as your knowledge of a new printmaking technique that you can continue beyond the session, you will also get to take home all of your wonderful prints made during the session.

LEVEL
This workshop is ideal for ages 17+ and is suited to any ability. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm!
