Woods and Wonder | Heart of Kent Walking Festival 2026

About

Step into the gentle embrace of Trosley Country Park for a relaxing 1.5-mile guided walk designed specifically for adults with learning disabilities and their companions. Following the yellow-arrowed Trosley Trail, this route offers a flat, easy-access surface that winds through 170 acres of stunning chestnut woodland and chalk downland Kent County Council.

This isn't just a walk; it’s a full sensory adventure.

We will:

  • See spectacular sweeping views over the North Downs and look for woodland sculptures tucked among the trees.
  • Hear the rustle of leaves and the woodland chorus of local birds.
  • Touch the rough bark of ancient trees and the soft mosses of the forest floor.
  • Smell the fresh pine and perhaps even wild herbs.
  • Taste the seasonal treats waiting for us at the Bluebell Café, where local produce is a speciality.

With accessible toilets and café facilities all on one level, this is a safe, inclusive way to reconnect with nature and boost your wellbeing.
