Join Ian from Boots On Adventures for a guided walk as part of the Heart of Kent Walking Festival in Maidstone. We will be meeting at White Horse Wood country park, which is set within the Kent Downs National Landscape. Our trail will lead us towards Hollingbourne through open countryside and patches of woodland. Once we join the North Downs Way, we will be rewarded with panoramic views of an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking the wide vale in which flows the River Len. This will make a great lunch stop to soak up the ambience of this beautiful area, before making our way towards the remains of Thurnham Castle, which was used since Roman times.
