Charing to Wye in the footsteps of pilgrims | Heart of Kent Walking Festival 2026

About

This guided walk covers a section of the North Downs Way, taking in the historic village of Charing where we will spend some time before heading onto the path, to walk along the route that has been used as an ancient trackway since prehistoric times!

Walking in the footsteps of pilgrims and drovers, we will go at a pace that is comfortable for the whole group, taking rest breaks as needed & pausing to enjoy lunch along the way. We will visit the remains of St Mary's church at Eastwell as we head towards Wye, where you can catch the train (via Ashford) back to the start if needed.

If you have spare time at the end of the walk, Wye is well worth taking a wander around.

I am Lowland Leader qualified with Public Liability Insurance. I am certified in Outdoor First Aid & will be carrying a first aid kit with me.

I look forward to sharing this beautiful section of the NDW with you.
