Things to do in Maidstone

There is certainly no shortage of things to do in Maidstone, Kent. With a thriving town centre surrounded by glorious Kentish countryside, Maidstone has a wealth of attractions offering the perfect mix of history, culture, leisure and entertainment.

Packed with many attractions, Maidstone has something interesting to offer visitors of all ages, meaning that whatever you fancy, there are plenty of things to do. Many enjoy a day out to Leeds Castle, Kent Life, All Saints Church with its links to Washington USA,  Maidstone Museum & The Bentlif Art Gallery and trips on the Allington Belle and the Kentish Lady.  These are but a few of the many Maidstone attractions.  Wonderful countryside surrounds the town with the Kent Downs to the north and River Medway to the south.

Adventures can be had along the river with the Canoe Trail, which is great with camping stops along the way or if you are inexperienced or don't have your own canoe try the Canoe Safari.  The wildlife and flowers along this route are a wonderful experience. Along the river you can stop off at various points and visit attractions like Teapot Island, Yalding or tea shops, cafes and pubs.
