What's On in Maidstone
Maidstone is alive with events the whole year round. Drama, dance, music, comedy, cabaret, arts, culture and festival events. So why not discover what's on in Maidstone for yourself!
National and International Events
Take a look at our monthly What’s On in Maidstone listing as it is one of the very best and most comprehensive in the region and many people come to Maidstone specifically for the event programme. International events run locally at Mote Park, Leeds Castle and Kent Showground and nearby at Brands Hatch and The Hop Farm but there is a great deal more to discover in this remarkable Kent town.
Our What’s On monthly listings are an immensely popular way to find out what is going on locally, so all you have to do is click on the month in the drop down menu. The rolling seasons bring a different flavour and atmosphere to events with outdoor theatre during the summer months and pantomime at Christmas time and celebrations of harvest in the autumn.
Mote Park has been a popular setting for the BBC roadshows, where BBC Stargazing and CBeebie's Mr Bloom and in the past the Radio One Big Weekend have held successful shows. It is still an excellent location that brings in other music events which have been much enjoyed by those who attended. Leeds Castle holds a number of popular events throughout the year including classical concerts, jousting, Christmas fair, food and drink festival, classic car show and very much more besides.
Some of the more unique experiences which Maidstone has to offer can be found at the smaller events. These can be anything from collecting data for rare wildlife, to an open day at the goat sanctuary or even just pulling up a deckchair to watch the free events during the Maidstone Arts Festival.
Keep an eye on this page for up to date event information such as the very popular Hop n' Harvest Festival, where hops are picked on site and set to roast in Kent's only traditional working the kiln. Alternatively try the Apple and Cider Fayre where the raw apples are juiced or turned into cider. During the winter season check out our shows and entertainment section where there is a variety of stunning performances to see.
