About

A ramble from Snodland station, visiting Holborough Marshes nature reserve and Leybourne Lakes country park. An exploration of the industrial past of the Medway Valley, walking between the flooded quarries of Leybourne Lakes. 

We will take a refreshment stop at the lakeside café before continuing to end our journey to New Hythe station.

Walk is free but you must book as places are limited. BOOK NOW 

This walk is suitable for ages 12+ but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.

Walk Details

Walk Distance: 4.5 miles

Walk Duration: 3 hours

Walk Grade: Grade 3 (A1)

Age Range: 12+ (Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult)

You would need to bring: Suitable footwear, suitable clothing for weather, a waterproof jacket/coat, drinks and snacks.


Walk Grade: 3. Leisurely -walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience. May include unsurfaced rural paths. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are recommended.

Accessibility Levels: A1 - Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind.
