Children’s author Gianna Pollero and award-winning illustrator Sarah Horne
Join the team behind the Monster Doughnuts series in this interactive event with award-winning illustrator and author Sarah Horne and author Gianna Pollero on an engaging and educational journey through the world of storytelling and illustrations.
Enjoy a delightful mix of storytelling, interactive drawing and creative activities.

Sarah Horne – Children’s Book Illustrator
Sarah Horne learnt to draw whilst trying to explain her reasoning for an elaborate haircut at the age of nine. An illustrator for almost 25 years, she started her Illustration career working freelance for newspapers such as The Guardian, The Independent On Sunday and Print Week.
In 2010, Sarah published Paws, Claws and Frilly Drawers and Tantrums And Tiaras her first Author/ Illustrator young fiction titles with Stripes.
She has illustrated over 100 books, including Charlie Changes into a Chicken, Fizzlebert Stump: The Boy Who Ran Away From the Circus (and joined the library), Puppy Academy, and Ask Oscar and its sequels.
Gianna Pollero – Children’s Author
Gianna is the author of the funny, adventure-filled Monster Doughnuts series for children aged 7-10.
Gianna was born and raised in Kent but also spent a considerable amount of her childhood in northern Italy, where the majority of her family live. She currently lives in Maidstone with her son, daughter and collection of pets and plants.
She originally trained as a journalist but has spent the last twenty (plus) years working in communications roles for a number of public sector organisations.
