Grand Firework Spectacular

Grand Firework Spectacular

Bonfire Night

Whats On in November

We start this month with a bang as fireworks light up the sky and bonfires warm the night air. Enjoy the Fireworks Spectacular at Kent Life or be amazed at the ‘Best of British’ display at Leeds Castle.

Lighten the dark evenings with a trio of great comedy as the Hazlitt Theatre welcomes Paul Foot, Omid Djalili and Paul Chowdhry this month. Musical treats include an Evening of Dirty Dancing and the classic favourite ballet ‘The Nutcracker’.

Maidstone Museum has a packed schedule of events to surprise and delight all the family this November. The scarily good Scream and Scream Again exhibition continues throughout the month, and brave youngsters can join a Ghost Tour for Kids!

Discover more about the recent scientific investigations into the Museum’s mummified remains and artefacts in ‘Ancient Lives – Looking within’. The next Family Arts Award Day focuses on the Egyptians and is a great way for children to get creative.

At the end of the month, the Museum is turning Japanese for a special Japanese Day with a host of free and bookable activities from craft for the kids to a talk on teabowls. There will even be a Samurai Warrior to talk to!

With Christmas just around the corner, there are plenty of festive activities taking place around Maidstone. The big Christmas light switch on in Fremlin Walk takes place on the 23rd, featuring a host of local acts and performers with a chance to visit Santa and his reindeer too.

There are opportunities to get ahead with the Christmas shopping at the Crafts for Christmas fayre and the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair before the traditional Christmas market at Leeds Castle begins on the 25th.

Take a trip to Christmas past and experience Christmas on the Home Front at Kent Life.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas rush, wrap up warm and head out to Mote Park for a stroll and take in some of the beautiful autumn colours before enjoying a warming hot chocolate in the café.
