Whats On in January

Christmas may be over, but we have the perfect antidote to the January blues – a whole host of events and activities for you to enjoy in Maidstone this month!

Mark the end of the festive season with more mulled wine and mince pies at Maidstone Choral Union’s Twelfth Night concert. Then get those New Year’s resolutions off to a good start and join in the Blitz Run in Mote Park.

There’s plenty of entertainment on offer at the Hazlitt this January, with something for all ages. From a lovable Abominable Snowman and Red Riding Hood to amazing tribute acts, including Nat King ColeCountry Superstars and the Bohemians. There’s also a performance of The Magic Flute.

Discover more about Leeds Castle’s fascinating past in a number of talks, with subjects as diverse as Tournament and the JoustBow ties & Bentleys and Queens and Conservation!

Head to Maidstone Museum this month and explore the ‘Concealed’ exhibition, presented by a host of talented textile artists. You can also share some of your own memories at the Memories Day and learn a new skill on the Silkscreen printing workshop.

Get the grey cells going at this month’s Museum Lates: Quiz Night and enjoy a delicious meal while you tackle 5 fiendish rounds.

If you love vintage, then we have a treat for you this month with two fabulous events to enjoy. First there’s the Big Brocante feature a hand-picked selection of brilliant quality traders offering vintage items and antiques. Then the Antiques & Collectors Fair returns to the Kent Showground for the first time this year, where you’re guaranteed to find a host of treasures not available on the high street.
