About

AGED 7-11? LOVE THE PAST? LOVE GETTING CREATIVE?
Book one (or both) of our Summer 2022 Holiday History Arts Award Days for a day packed with art and history!

Bag yourself a Discover Arts Award!

Try out different art activities inspired by the museum’s fantastic collections!

Find out about creating exhibits and create your own museum exhibit to take home.

Share your creations at the end of the day with your family.

Receive a museum certificate on the day, and an official Arts Award certificate a few weeks later.

Led by two of the museum’s experienced Learning Team. Suitable for those aged 7-11 years.

Children should bring a packed lunch, drink and breaktime snacks.

Monday 25 July; Julius Brenchley; Explorer. Explore the art of the countries JB explored and have a go at printing, mask making and more.

Monday 15 August; Costume. Be inspired by period costumes and have a go at fabric design, accessory making and more.

The day starts at 9am with children being signed in, and ends at 3.30pm with parents/guardians arriving at 3pm for children to share what they have learned and made, and receive a special museum certificate.

£30.00 per child (per day). Numbers are limited to 12 per session, with a minimum of 6 needed to run the day, so early booking is advised.

Regrettably, some spaces in the museum are inaccessible to those less able.

Arts Awards are a great opportunity for children and young people to learn more about the arts and artists, and to try out different artforms. Arts Awards are moderated by Trinity College London. The Learning Team are trained to assess the Discover Arts Award and once the day is complete they will send off for your official Discover Arts Award Certificate from Trinity (please note this can take 6-8 weeks to arrive). Once received they will contact you to either collect or have it posted to you.
