Receive a museum certificate on the day, and an official Arts Award certificate a few weeks later.
Led by two of the museum’s experienced Learning Team. Suitable for those aged 7-11 years.
Children should bring a packed lunch, drink and breaktime snacks.
Monday 25 July; Julius Brenchley; Explorer. Explore the art of the countries JB explored and have a go at printing, mask making and more.
Monday 15 August; Costume. Be inspired by period costumes and have a go at fabric design, accessory making and more.
The day starts at 9am with children being signed in, and ends at 3.30pm with parents/guardians arriving at 3pm for children to share what they have learned and made, and receive a special museum certificate.
£30.00 per child (per day). Numbers are limited to 12 per session, with a minimum of 6 needed to run the day, so early booking is advised.
Regrettably, some spaces in the museum are inaccessible to those less able.
Arts Awards are a great opportunity for children and young people to learn more about the arts and artists, and to try out different artforms. Arts Awards are moderated by Trinity College London. The Learning Team are trained to assess the Discover Arts Award and once the day is complete they will send off for your official Discover Arts Award Certificate from Trinity (please note this can take 6-8 weeks to arrive). Once received they will contact you to either collect or have it posted to you.

The sessions will only run if Covid restrictions are no longer in place. Refunds will only be given if the day is cancelled due to changes in government guidelines.

For these History Art Days children are unaccompanied and are in the care of 2 members of the Learning Team. The team are DBS checked and have experience of teaching children. Due to the unaccompanied nature of these sessions we will require medical and contact details listed on the downloadable form below that you will need to email to us at time of booking. Please ensure the contact number used in the ticket booking matches the contact number on the form. Without this form we will not be able to confirm your booking.
