About

Reading stories to children can be a magical experience, delving into the world of fantasy and adventure, helping bring young children's imaginations to life.

NEW for 2019, the Maidstone Museum is holding monthly story and rhyme sessions for children under 5. Bring your little ones along to listen to a story, join in with the actions, rhymes and songs, or take part in making a themed paper craft to take home. These fully interactive sessions will help your child to develop language and listening skills and helps prepare them for understanding written words and reading - it's also a lot of fun!

Delicious refreshments will be included throughout the session.
