Garden Wildlife Week

About

Get your magnifying glasses and green fingers ready for fun filled outdoor garden themed activities in celebration of National Garden Wildlife Week.

As restrictions start to ease, we invite you to bring the children to get their hands dirty and enjoy the great outdoors again this half term in the beautiful grounds and gardens of "the loveliest Castle in the world".

Even the youngest visitors can explore, investigate and learn how to plant and grow seeds at Leeds Castle's Garden Wildlife Week event. Join our 'Bug Safari' and discover all types of bugs and insects as you explore the Castle estate, you might spot a colourful butterfly by the stream in the Pavilion Lawn or uncover an earthworm hiding underneath a stone in the Princess Alexandra Gardens!

A 'Wildlife Trail' will take families on a fun adventure through the grounds, following clues to find animal illustrations and hidden answers in order to complete a trail card. The excitement continues in the 'Sunflower Marquee' near the Maze, where younger visitors are invited to plant their own sunflower seeds to take home and watch grow (small additional charge applies).

Fascinating wildlife information boards will be located around the estate so the whole family can find out interesting facts about the variety of birds and bugs that live in the grounds of Leeds Castle.

Once you have completed the activity sheets and planted your very own sunflower, visit the fantastic array of daily attractions all open once again and ready to welcome visitors this half term.
