There’s still time to visit the ‘Graham Clarke: Now & Then’ exhibition at Maidstone Museum. Why not take inspiration from this local artist and try your hand at lino cutting on a workshop led by Nick Morley (whose work appears on Penguin and Faber&Faber book covers). There’s also a workshop where children can experiment with printing and create their own print to take home.
More opportunities to engage young minds are on offer at Leeds Castle this month. Take a trail through the grounds for British Science Week or a Castle Quest for Shakespeare Week. Get closer to nature at Kent Life and join their bug hunter for some creepy crawly fun on the Bugs and Grubs Weekend.
The Hazlitt Theatre has a varied programme of shows with a bumper crop of comedy acts including Mitch Benn, Danny Baker, Richard Herring and Rachel Parris.
