Golf Courses in Maidstone
For keen golfers there are several 9 and 18 hole courses to choose from. However if Pitch and Putt is more to your liking, then visit the attractive Mote Park course which is fun for all the family.

Fishing in Maidstone
Mote Park is also home to a large lake for fishing. Permits for fishing cost £5.00 per day (£2.50 for juniors) and can be purchased from Nick's Tackle Exchange or Maidstone Angling Centre.
Look out for the many events in Mote Park during the summer months, from festivals to funfairs.
Horse Riding in Maidstone
There are several horse riding schools offering both private and group lessons, Horseshoes Riding School, Lower Bell Riding School, Coldblow Equestrian Centre and Squirrels Riding School at Cobtree.

Swimming and indoor sports
Maidstone Leisure Centre has swimming pools for the both serious swimmer and the fun swimmer including flumes, a lazy river run, leisure pool waves and 25m swimming pool. Dry side activities consist of children's indoor play facilities as well as two halls for sports activities such as badminton, netball and aerobics. There is also a well equipped gymnasium.
Tennis
Tennis courts are available to hire at Clare Park, South Park, and Pendenden Heath. Tickets can be purchased in person from the park attendant.
Bowling
Clare Park Bowling Club welcomes non-members so you can turn up and 'Pay and Play'. For a different type of bowling, a Ten Pin Bowling alley can be found in the town centre.
Walking
Enjoy the great outdoors with one of many countryside walks or riverside walks. However the town centre also offers great walking opportunities either. Follow the Historic Walk, or Walk Maidstone and download the eight interesting route maps, with a guide for things to spot around Maidstone.
Maidstone Ramblers welcome all those who enjoy walking and organise over 200 walks annually, including family walks, half or full day and more demanding walks.
