All Year Round in Maidstone

All year round Maidstone and surrounding countryside has a lot to offer visitors.

Summer

Summer breaks are popular with the better weather and schools being on holiday with long warm days and the opportunity to be outside.

Having a picnic, flying a kite, fruit picking, walking in the coutryside, dicovering castles or going out to attractions and events make for happy memories to keep in your heart.

Spring

Spring time in Kent has been popular for centuries, as the new lambs, blossom on the cherry and apple trees intermingle with the oast houses and the warm clay peg tiles in their lovely terracotta colours nestle into the landscapes.

Walking and cycling in the countryside are particularly popular or walk along the river in Maidstone where you will find ducklings and signets, gliding along.

Autumn

Autumn is the harvest time and Kent remains tied to its production of food with its orchards full of apples and pears, and vineyards recognised for their spectacular wine production fuse the villages and towns together.

The smell of fresh earth as the fields are tilled and blackberries ripen in the hedgerows.

Mist often covers the fields as the early morning sunshine breaks through and makes everything sparking and new for the coming day.
